A destination anchor is a link that takes the user to a different place on the webpage. If you have a huge webpage with a ton of info, these are helpful.

it's a link to a spot on the same page, The index on pretty much every Wikipedia page if loaded with them for instance... basically it's like having a bookmark on a certain spot or a really long book. only on a webpage..
